Buttercup Festival

first . . . previous . . . Renaming of the Birds sketchbook

5 January 2009
I receive a fair number of enquiries from people wanting to buy a print of a Buttercup Festival comic, and until now I've had to reply that sadly such things aren't feasible for a guy like me. Well, things might be changing: the folk at Topatoco, who handle my shirts, have purchased a fancy new printer and I'll now have the opportunity to make some strips or artwork available as commercial-quality prints. So, could everyone with even the slightest bit of interest either email me (below) or post on the Facebook group which strip(s) you might be interested in purchasing as prints? Even if you don't really want to buy one, just let me know which strips you think should be available. Thanks.

And so, perhaps inevitably, I have fallen somewhat short of my plans to finish all of the writing and illustration for Renaming of the Birds by the end of 2008. The writing is very nearly finished, just a few holes to plug, but I'll be carrying on with the illustration throughout winter and early spring, with the idea now that I'll start sending materials to agents and publishers in the late spring and summer. My thanks to everyone who has been asking about it.

And no new comic today I'm afraid, but here's something from the RotB sketchbook, and Buttercup Festival will pick up again next Monday.
